Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum welcomed Los Tigres del Norte to the National Palace, honoring the legendary norteño group for a musical career that has chronicled the lives, struggles and dreams of Mexicans on both sides of the border.
The meeting took place Monday, Sept. 14, on the eve of Mexico's Independence Day celebrations. Sheinbaum shared photographs from the visit, showing her with the five members of the band inside the historic presidential building overlooking Mexico City's Zócalo.
