The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is actively engaged in search and rescue operations in response to the Palisades and Eaton fires. Sheriff Robert Luna provided an update on Tuesday, stating that no additional remains were discovered the previous day, and expressing hope for a similar outcome in the ongoing search efforts.
As of now, the sheriff’s department is focusing on 24 missing person cases, with 18 individuals reported missing in the Eaton area and six in the Malibu area. Sheriff Luna emphasized that all the missing persons are adults.
