The ITV drama is set in West Cork, Ireland, and follows the story of half-hearted copper PJ Collins [Conleth Hill] who is forced to connect with the community he has worked to avoid as a body is discovered - and Collins will embark on the first serious crime case in his entire career.

Described as a murder mystery that features dark comedy and showcases the local life of a small village when a body is discovered and a murder investigation gets underway.

Director Kathy Burke said: "It’s a beautiful piece of writing with a great story and fantastic, full-bodied characters.

"All this with glorious West Cork as its setting proved irresistible."

Lorraine airs every weekday from 9am on ITV, and you can catch the first episode of Holding on Monday March 14 at 9pm, on the same channel.
