Lorraine says 'thank God for the vaccine' as she returns to her morning show after Covid break

Lorraine Kelly returned to her morning TV show on Monday, July 18 after time off with Covid. And as she previewed her show on Good Morning Britain she said: "It was the dreaded Covid. It got me. I thought I'd escaped, but it got me. But I'm fine, absolutely fine and it's good to be back."

Ed Balls then asked her where she thinks she contracted the virus from, she replied: "I don't actually know what it was. It could have been somebody standing in the queue behind me in the supermarket, you just don't know.

"This is the thing, you'll never be able to find out. But I'm fine, thank goodness, and I'm here. Thank God for science and the vaccine." Carol Vorderman replaced Lorraine last week, and offered regular health updates for how the presenter was recovering from Covid.
