Viewers have claimed that Lorraine Kelly appeared 'furious' when her co-star made a huge Coronation Street mistake live on air. Self-confessed soap fan Lorraine was back at the helm of her self-titled ITV show on Friday (June 9).
But instead of being joined by roving showbiz reporter Ria Hebden in the studio, the former Dancing on Ice star, was being given a first look at the new Coronation Street Experience which opens near the Salford-based set this weekend.
Ria's visit came after the festivities kicked off with an unforgettable moment as Corrie legend Barbara Know sliced into a jaw-dropping 40-kilogram replica sponge cake of the iconic Rovers and Kabin. The stunning creation, handcrafted over a staggering 50 hours, symbolises the grand opening of the brand-new experience at the home of the show at MediaCity.

The recently transformed visitor centre now serves as the ultimate destination for every Corrie fan, offering access to replica Rovers and Roy’s Rolls sets, iconic costumes, historic props and a dedicated Corrie shop.
And Ria got to have a look around before anyone else. However, she appeared to leave Lorraine, and viewers, fuming when she passed a huge portrait of the legendary Corrie couple Jack and Vera Duckworth and referred to the pair as "Bob and Vera".
"Look it's the legendary Bob and Vera, we absolutely love it," she said as she walked past the giant portrait of the fan favourites played by the late Bill Tarmey, and Elizabeth Dawn.ri
Host Lorraine, 62, quietly corrected her co-star as she appeared confused by the blunder, mouthing quietly: "Bob and Vera?! Jack," as viewers watching at home asked: "Has she seen Corrie before?"
@jordanlloydbeck tweeted: "Bob and Vera [crying laughing emojis]. Loved how Lorraine was furious and instantly mouthed 'Jack!'" @lewispringle said: "Lol, Bob and Vera? Has she ever watched Corrie before? #lorraine." @no1demon wrote: "#lorraine the legendary Bob and Vera I think that's wrong it was Jack and Vera."
