Scotland's best-loved chat show host Lorraine Kelly returned to work yesterday following some time off after undergoing surgery on her shoulder over the festive period.
They keyhole surgery on her shoulder meant her Christmas and New Year was quieter than usual as she recovered from the operation.
Lorraine, from Glasgow, spoke about her time off with Dr Hillary on yesterday's show (January 3).

The 63-year-old said: "I had the most quiet one (New Year) ever, I did because I had a wee operation on my shoulder it's been annoying me for ages."
As a picture of her in a sling flashed up on the screen, Lorraine added: "There I am celebrating Christmas! Thank you to professor Levi and his team because oh my goodness me, keyhole surgery is incredible!
"They just had to remove some calcification and some bone and yeah, I'm doing my physio and I'm all fine, but we had a really quiet Christmas and New Year, Rosie and Steve looked after me."
In an interview last month with Closer Magazine, Lorraine said that she was excited to spend time with her daughter Rosie, 28, over the festive period, the Daily Record reports.
She told the magazine: “We’re both so busy, we hardly ever see each other, so it’s lovely when we get to spend time together.
Rosie has followed in her mother’s footsteps into the world of celebrity journalism.
The 28-year-old, who has a journalism degree from Edinburgh Napier University, works for Hello! magazine.
She also hosts a podcast with her mum where they interview celebrities about the life-changing moments they have faced.
Despite being the daughter of the nation’s best-loved chat show host, Rosie admits she still gets starstruck.
She said: “I had to interview David Gandy – it was on Zoom and I had to turn my camera off because I was bright red. I definitely still get starstruck but my mum does as well.
“When I was really young, I’d make sure that I could go into the GMTV studio whenever bands like Westlife, Blue or Five were there.
“I’d just have to be there – which was brilliant – but I’d be totally starstruck then and I’d still be now.”
