Race for Life.Dad Alistair, sister Sarah, brother Ben and mum Heather were among those helping raise cash for cancer research.
Alistair wore a label giving his reason for running: “As I’m her dad – she never thought I’d do a 5k.”
The event was renamed Race for Life for Bowelbabe in honour of the campaigner who died last June aged 40 after documenting her bowel cancer fight.
Heather said: “Running was one of Deborah’s coping mechanisms. It is a time of sadness as we near the anniversary but we treasure memories of her final weeks at our home.”
On her ITV morning show yesterday Lorraine, 63, shared clips of her taking part in the race.
She said at the race: “It’s important for us to be here to remember her legacy and to celebrate an amazing woman.”
