Viewers have accused Lorraine and her guests of ‘bullying’ ex Health Secretary Matt Hancock on the show today (Nov 10). People watching were particularly incensed by guest DJ Fat Tony, who described the MP's laugh as that of a ‘serial killer’ and urged them all to take a look at themselves.
Lorraine and her guests lashed out at the politician who many hold responsible for thousands of deaths due to decisions made in the coronavirus pandemic - including releasing hospital patients to care homes without testing them early. DJ Fat Tony, who is a friend of Boy George that was seen close to tears when he discovered Hancock was joining them, said: “It’s easy to have a row with Matt Hancock.
"It’s easy to react. I mean, I’m a big on the world’s worst reactor when I react to everything. But I think with I think what we want from this is an explanation."

Lorraine added: “And a bit of humility would be nice as well. Yeah, that would be nice." Tony added: “And get rid of the serial killer laugh.” Lorraine agreed: “It’s very disconcerting. Very disconcerting. We’re worried about that.”
Twitter user Jill Beddoes tweeted: “If #lorraine is paid to be “nice”, she’s failed miserably over the last few days. Talk about bash Matt Hancock! I have no strong feelings either way but how do you think his 3 young children are feeling. He too is a human being. Being a politician is a job.”
Elesha added: “Very unprofessional from #Lorraine bullying and laughing about Matt Hancock on TV!” Thinks Negative said: “Just a bloke who everyone blames for COVID and failed marriages. Such a shame what her witch hunting show is becoming. #ImACelebrity.”
Paul_J_Nelson complained: “I do hope that the guests and host on #lorraine this morning weren’t encouraging bullying against another person. I don’t care if he is an MP. “ Kelly Critchley said: “What happened to #BeKindAlways I work in the care industry and by no means agree on #matthancock decisions during the pandemic, all I have seen on #GMB and #lorraine this morning is bullying towards him which I found really hard to watch.”
Speaking about Boy George’s emotions on the arrival of Matt Hancock into the camp, Fat Tony said: “You know, lockdown was really, really, really an awful time for so many people because we were powerless and George powerless in there as well because, you know, he’s in a situation with somebody of the magnitude of dislike to a nation that just like, you know, and what about Hancock stands for, you know, to be put into a confined space.
"The jungle sounds like a big space. It’s not a what we saw last night was George being George. You know, he those tears were real. You know, I I know George way. I know George. I’d give it 2 or 3 days before he has to express their feelings too much.”
During last night's episode, Boy George told presenter and fellow campmate Scarlette Douglas: “You know, beginning of the pandemic my mum was in hospital. I wasn’t allowed to see her. I thought she was going to die.
“I was tweeting Greenwich hospital going, ‘Please look after my mum.’ I used my name, I was like, ‘Please look after my mum.’ And they did, she was fine… I feel like, I don’t want to be sitting here like I’m having fun with him.”
