Lord Sugar hits out at credit card firm as he’s denied limit increase

Lord Alan Sugar has called American Express “a bunch of idiots” after the company refused his request for a credit limit increase.
The 79-year-old Apprentice star said speaking to a UK-based representative who was aware of his £1.138 billion fortune made no difference to the refusal.
Lord Sugar faced backlash on social media from users accusing him of seeking royal treatment and flaunting his wealth.
Responding to followers on X, he defended his complaints and explained he needs a credit card because he does not walk around with bags full of cash.
American Express has been contacted for comment following the online dispute.
