'Lord Geidt's resignation is proof of rottenness at the heart of Downing Street'

Lord Geidt quit as the ethics watchdog after being put in an “impossible and odious” position by Boris Johnson.

His predecessor, Sir Alex Allan, also quit following the Prime Minister’s refusal to sack Priti Patel for breaking the ministerial code.

Their resignations are proof of the rottenness at the heart of Downing Street.
