Lord Alan Sugar suggests Harry and Meghan demand could crash Netflix servers

Lord Alan Sugar has suggested that the demand generated by the 'hype' surrounding the Harry and Meghan docuseries could crash Netflix's servers.

With the first episode set to air at 8am this morning in the UK, anticipation is reaching fever pitch around the world. And the royal family are bracing themselves for bombshells from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s documentary, as it streams across the globe.

The six-part “Harry & Meghan” show, billed as “unprecedented and in-depth”, is airing exactly three months after the death of Harry’s grandmother the late Queen, with the Windsors still grieving and the King less than 100 days into his reign.

However, Lord Sugar took to Twitter this morning and pondered wether or not Netflix could cope with what looks set to be unprecedented demand. He tweeted: "Harry & Meghan. With the hype of this series I wonder if the Netflix servers will fall over when millions of people try to watch the content."

When one follower - Marcus Gill Greenwood from tech firm UBIO - suggested Lord Sugar didn't understand servers, The Apprentice star retorted: "One of my companies made servers."

The contents of the series have not yet been revelaed, but Sussexes look set to outline Meghan’s treatment by the press, challenge allegations the duchess bullied staff, and could delve into their relationships with the royals and the household.
