Janet Street-Porter appeared to make a subtle reference to the 'Queuegate' furore surrounding Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Monday's Loose Women.
During the latest instalment of the ITV series, the panel were discussing being woken up by a cockerel when Janet decided to share an anecdote.
Speaking to her co-stars Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan and Brenda Edwards, Janet recalled being woken up by her partner's dog Badger having a nightmare whilst she was having her own nice dream.
The 75-year-old journalist described her dream saying: "You're in the middle of your sleep having a really lovely dream... you know I'm at a party with loads of famous people getting into the VIP area... without any queuing..." and appeared to put an emphasis on the last word.
The live studio audience were heard reacting as Ruth giggled with the camera cutting to Coleen's face as she realised what Janet had just said.
Loose Women viewers were quick to pick up on Janet's comment and took to Twitter to comment.
"oh Janet dig #LooseWomen," one person said, while another posted: "#LooseWomen Go On Janet well done."
A third viewer tweeted: "Go on Janet, sly dig," while a fourth pointed out: "Janet Street Porter making a dig at Phil and Holly #LooseWomen."
Posting a clip of the moment, another person asked: "Was this a dig or an endorsement?! #HollyandPhil #LooseWomen."
However, one viewer wasn't overly impressed and tweeted: "@The_Real_JSP's dig at Holly and Phil, about "queueing" was rude and unacceptable. Uncalled for. #LooseWomen @loosewomen."
Holly and Phillip were falsely accused of skipping the queue to see the late Queen lying in state earlier this month.
The popular This Morning duo have faced stringing criticism after photos emerged of them at Westminster Abbey paying their respects to the late sovereign.
People waited for up to 26 hours to walk past the coffin - but they addressed the backlash they have faced on their daytime show and assured people they "would never jump the queue".
Holly, 41, and 60-year-old Phillip explained that, as members of the press, they did not have to wait in line as they were reporting on the events.
This Morning quickly issued a statement clarifying that the two stars 'did not jump the queue, have VIP access or file past the Queen lying in state' and were there purely for work reasons.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
