Loose Women send congratulations to This Morning after stony faces at the National Television

The Loose Women panellists have sent their congratulations to This Morning after they were criticised for their stony faces at the National Television Awards in the moment that their ITV stablemate won Best Daytime Show, a category they were also nominated in.. The Friday panel, Kaye Adams, Kelly Holmes, Linda Robson and Judi Love, wasted no time in addressing the previous night's events at the start of Loose Women today, October 14.

Kaye Adams started by congratulating This Morning at the start of the episode and turned to her fellow panellist, Holmes and said: "As a born winner, I was watching your face when we didn't win because I thought 'what's Dame Kelly Holmes going to do when we lose?'"

The Olympic gold medalist admitted she isn't good at losing and said she had hide her face that she was swearing when Loose Women lost out, but she added: "I'm not very good at hiding when I'm disappointed...nothing against This Morning at all. But we were really revved up and had so much energy."

The Loose Women panellists were spotted not looking too impressed at the event and Linda Robson was also spotted not clapping for This Morning's triumph.. Many viewers noticed the Loose Women's lack of enthusiasm on the night.

One said: "The Loose Women were not happy! Fuming!!" and another added: "Loose Women didn't look pleased." This Morning hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have recently come under fire when they were accused of skipping the queue to see the Queen lying in state.

Holly and Phil were booed when they went to collect their award and Phil was seen to break down in tears before heading to the stage to collect the award. On stage, after accepting the award, Phillip addressed the crowd, saying: "Please don't ever feel like we get complacent." "Thank you so much for everything," Holly added as she addressed the public at home. "You make our show for us, you really do."

Holly and Phil also thanked their viewers on their Instagram after the awards show. Holly posted a selfie of her and Phil at the awards and thanked the cast and crew who "work so hard" to produce the show and the viewers for voting for the show. She said: "Thank you...holy moly...we love you...@thismorning...you are the best team, you work so hard to make the show what it is...We want to thank each and every one of you for voting..."
