Nadia Sawalha lifted the lift on her EastEnders past on Friday's Loose Women, including 'underhand' rivalry between the cast over the show's biggest storylines.
Nadia shot to huge TV fame in the mid-90s, when she landed the role of Annie Palmer, daughter of dodgy London businessman George, in the long-running BBC soap, before going onto be an Albert Square regular for two years. The subject of EastEnders was raised at the start of Loose Women, when Kaye Adams mentioned reports that the programme could be nearing it's final years' due to falling ratings.
Dismissing those and backing its current boss Chris Clenshaw, Nadia said that when he joined the EastEnders cast, it was pulling in ratings of 18 million and over, before a scene of her in action as Annie played on screen.

Talking about her time on the show and its famous closing titles, Nadia explained: "I only ever had one duff-duff-duff, which I think is outrageous actually. The duff-duff-duff, I was undoing the buttons on my shirt," as Jane asked: "Is that a big thing, to get a duff-duff-duff?"
Nadia replied: "Ooh, people get jealous a bout duff-duff-duffs," as Jane remarked: "Because it means you've got a big storyline." Host Kaye then asked: "Were you really sitting around in the green room with a cuppa saying 'how many duff-duff-duffs have you had then?' to which Nadia told her: "No, it's way more underhand than that!"
Keen to hear more, Kaye then quipped: "Now we're getting to the juicy stuff aren't we," before quickly changing the subject to something else.
