Ruth Langsford has shared some very intimate advice with new Strictly star Kaye Adams.
The This Morning presenter, 62, has warned her fellow Loose Women panelist about one awkward side effect she may experience when she takes to the dancefloor on the BBC show next month.
Kaye, 59, was announced as one of the contestants on this year's dancing competition earlier this month, much to the delight of fellow ITV panelists and co-stars.
The Loose Women anchor - who will turn 60 in December - shared the announcement with her fans on Instagram and pledged to see her 50s "out with a bang" as she heads to the Strictly studios with "two left feet".
"I said I wanted to make the last year of my fifties memorable and I can’t think of a better way of doing it than showing the world my two left feet. Pray for me!" Kaye confessed as her name was officially added to the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
Speaking about her upcoming stint as a dancer this week, Kaye has revealed how her friend - and former Strictly contestant - Ruth has been helping her prepare for her latest role.
"She was brilliant, she told me it warts and all but in a really nice supportive way, which was nice," Kaye explained when discussing what advice Ruth has given her ahead of her first dance.
She continued to tell Closer magazine: "She did make me laugh, she said: 'You will get very sweaty 'down there' when you're training. So bring a little ladies' bag with pantyliners."
Ruth was partnered with Anton Du Beke when she appeared on the BBC show in 2017, and still speaks highly of the professional dancer five years on from their partnership.
"Anton is so funny. He reminds me a lot of my husband in terms of banter. We share a similar sense of humour, which is why I’m so thrilled he’s my partner," Ruth told HELLO! magazine during her time on Strictly.
She added: "Anton’s a good teacher and we work hard, but he makes everything so much fun. He’s intuitive, too. He knows instinctively when I’m tired or struggling or about to cry. That’s when he’ll stop and say, ‘Let’s go and get a cup of tea.’ So he senses what I need, when I need it.
"He’s a fabulous dancer and a dream partner."
It's not yet known who Ruth's pal Kaye or any of the new Strictly contestants will be dancing alongside when the show returns for our screens for another series next month.
Speaking in her recent interview, Kaye revealed how she has been preparing herself for the coming weeks which will be filled with hours and hours of dance practise and learning how to master tricky moves.
"I like the fact I can walk quickly; I can break into a run, or run upstairs three at a time," she explained after revealing she has been walking and taking spin classes ahead of her first Strictly performance.
She added: "I appreciate that now because when you're younger, you take all that for granted."
