Loose Women's Kaye Adams risks 'walk out' over topic as ITV co-star takes defiant stance

Kaye Adams was left concerned Loose Women co-star Judi Love would 'walk off' the set of the ITV show, as she raised a topic that ruffled a few feathers on the panel.

Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kaye was back at the helm of the lunchtime programme for its fifth and final episode of the weeks, being joined by colleagues Judi, Sunetra Sarkar and Katie Piper, to discuss a number of different subjects, ranging from making your parents proud to convicted serial killer Levi Bellfield being allowed to get married behind bars.

Around 20 minutes into Friday's Loose Women, Kaye raised the topic of new viral trend, 'rat girl summer,' an alternative to the hot girl summer posts and memes that have become part of pop culture in the last few years. As soon as Kaye mentioned the words 'rat girl summer' she sense the disgust coming from Judi at the end of the panel, reacting: "Oh she's off!"

Thankfully, Judi remained in her seat, as Kaye gave some of the criteria for a 'rat girl summer'. She explained: "You need to get out, have fun, meet new people, cause mischief. You need to nibble on a few snacks, eat what you want, kill the cringe - the part of you that feels embarrassed when you ant to do certain things, follow that drive, follow that urge and trust your gut."

Kate then summarised: "I think it's about being free," but the use of the word rat did not sit well with Sunetra or Judi, with Judi responding: "There's always a label trying to counteract another label. To me, hit girl summer is your individual interpretation. For me, hot girl summer is not necessarily that I'm trying to lose weight or try and be in the gym. I'm going to be that hot girl that I desire; so I'm going to go where I need to go, I'm going to look good where I'm going, I'm going to spend it with the friends I want to spend it with, I'm going to eat an drink and enjoy my fabulous life."

Judi's defiant take on things received a round of applause from the studio audience, as she added: "I don't need to be no rat, you don't need to be no rat. I think hot girl summer is to your own individual interpretation. Be you, whatever makes you feel good, that's what it's about, instead of them now trying to dismiss labels by making another label and it's absolutely ridiculous."
