Loose Women panelist Jane Moore announced today that she and her husband Gary Farrow are going their separate ways after 20 years together.
On today's instalment of the ITV show, Jane addressed the news and said they will remain 'best friends'.
She said their split has been in the works for about a year so it's rather strange speaking about it out loud. She said: "So Gary and I are separating. But it's weird that it's out there [in public] because we've been processing it for about a year.
"We're both quite private people. We had discussed it last year... it was going to happen last year. And then he fell and broke his leg and, no, I didn't push him. Just want to put that out there. He fell and broke his leg. And obviously, then all bets are off.
Jane then said they will still be spending Christmas together. She added: "So we were sort of we're still in the same house together. We're still going to do Christmas together."
The presenter said the split was 'amicable' and said they will still be 'best friends'.
She added: "I have been sort of caring for him in that sense of the word. It's enabled us to sort of segue to process it first of all, and to sort of segue nicely into a really good friendship.
"I mean, I would always say, he is my best friend. I hope if he was sitting here he would say, I'm his best friend, and I'm just very, very keen that we don't lose that element of it, you know, so, yeah, so we're still living together.
"We're still doing Christmas together and then in the new year, we'll sell up. We'll buy our own houses, hopefully, you know, near each other."
The couple who share daughters Lauren, Ellie and Grace together, got married back in 2002, and Sir Elton John was their best man.
Back in September, Jane revealed how Gary spent the morning of their wedding in a police cell and just made the ceremony by the skin of his teeth and the pair tied the knot at the famous Claridges Hotel in London on May 4 2002.
Revealing all about the day's mishaps, Jane discussed the ordeal openly on Loose Women.
"I would have had pre-wedding wobbles if I had known what was going to happen," she said. "So we got married and then between getting married and heading to the reception, Gary informed me that the night before… he'd been arrested and thrown in a police cell."
Jane explained: "Basically, there was a fire alarm and he wouldn't leave the hotel until he knew the kids were alright and they wouldn't let him know where the kids were.
"Anyway, he got lairy. And then it was all fine and it was a false alarm and he went to sleep."
Four policemen knocked on his hotel, Jane added: "He got arrested, chucked into the cells underneath the place. He said, 'At one point, I could see through the bars that it was getting daylight.' We were getting married at 10am."
