Denise Welch has described the '[nightmare' of going on holiday with husband Lincoln Townley, sharing how the two are very different when it comes to planning a trip away.
Denise, who has not long returned from a trip to Italy, was back on the Loose Women panel on Monday, joining host Ruth Langsford and colleagues Katie Piper and Jane Moore as normal service was resumed on the ITV discussion show, following a week of shortened episodes due to the channel's coverage of horse racing from Ascot.
One of the early discussion topics on the first episode of a new week was 'Who plans holidays in your house?' And, after Ruth conceded that it was her husband Eamonn Holmes who liked to take the lead when it came to their trips abroad, Geordie star Denise shared her own experiences of going away with Lincoln, who she married in 2013.

She told her fellow panellists: "Lincoln turns into a different person. He would like to get to the airport 24 hours before the flight, even though we live 15 minutes from the airport and I will allow him three hours before a European flight.
The former Coronation Street star continued: "He is sitting like Paddington Bear on a suitcase, looking for the taxi. Going with my friend Angie Lonsdale, that was double whammy; they were ringing each other two hours before to see if the taxi had come.
"And then when we get there, I'm handed my passport, so I go through the gate, but then it's whisked from my hand straight into the laminated folder and off he goes. It'd a nightmare for me as I would go last minute."
Denise's rant about other half Lincoln came after she publicly hit out at travel firm Jet2 on Twitter after her flight was delayed.
