Denise Welch has relived her stalker terror from nearly three years ago when a man started a fire on the driveway of her and husband Lincoln Townley's Cheshire home.
It was back in September 2020 that Toraq Wyngard, a man completely unknown to the couple, headed to their home in Wilmslow and was seen on CCTV looking around the property before appearing to pour an accelerant into a skip and set it alight.
Denise was alerted to Wyngard and the blaze he started by Lincoln's screams and reliving the nightmare moment on their Juicy Crack podcast, Denise admitted that Lincoln, who she won BBC show Unbreakable with at the end of last year, was concerned they they'd been targeted because of her outspoken views on the Covid pandemic at the time.

Giving listeners an insight into what they went through, Loose Women star Denise explained: "During this time as well, what was hard on us as a family is that we had a stalker. The fact that we had a stalker is public knowledge now.
“He’s in jail, he’s got a seven-year sentence - he committed arson at our house as well."
She continued: “But this caused a problem at the time with Lincoln and I because we didn’t know, and we still don’t, why this guy targeted us.
“And Lincoln was concerned for the safety of me and our family. That this guy had issues and it was because of my Covid restriction views “It could have been because of that, because it was making people mad on either side of the argument.”
Wyngard, who was found with a kitchen knife in his rucksack. was jailed for seven years and seven months on charges of stalking, arson, possession of a bladed article and criminal damage, having caused over $4,000 worth of damage.
