Denise Welch in Loose Women 'panic' seconds into ITV return over co-star exposing secret

Denise Welch was left 'terrified' just seconds into her return to Loose Women return on Thursday, over fears that something she's been sworn to secrecy over, would be exposed by her co-star Linda Robson.

As she turned 65 last month, Geordie star Denise took to Instagram to tell her many followers that she and husband Lincoln were going on 'a little adventure' with her break from social media transpiring to be a stint on popular Channel 4 show Celebrity Hunted. Denise and Lincoln joined stars including Strictly pros Giovanni Pernice and Kai Widdrington for the latest series, which sees famous faces go on the run in an attempt to evade capture and win loads of money for charity.

During her time as fugitive, Denise took a big risk by going to see son Matty Healy play with The 1975, but, earlier this week revealed that her time on the run had come to an end, without revealing if she was caught or if she and Lincoln managed to defeat the Hunters.

Denise was back on Loose Women for the first time in a while on Thursday, joining Linda and colleagues Charlene White and Jane Moore on the latest episode of the ITV show. And it didn't take long for host Charlene to mention Denise being on Celebrity Hunted, putting her on the spot by asking: "Did you get caught?"

Denise quickly replied: "I can't say," but Linda interrupted: "I can though," forcing Denise to respond: "No you can't! Do you know what? It's terrifying being on the panel with Linda," with the Birds of a Feather star then firing back: "Well don't tell me in the meeting then!"

Denise continued: "I had an absolutely brilliant time and then, when you come back real life, within a day, you're thinking I want to get back on the run!"
