Denise Welch stunned fans as she donned a bright coloured swimsuit and posed for the camera in celebration of her own birthday.
The Loose Women star turned 64-years-old on Sunday – and she is still in a celebratory mood as the week nears an end.
Denise has been whisked off on holiday by her toy boy husband, 49-year-old artist Lincoln Townley, and she has got all dressed up for a day of sunshine and celebrations.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Denise posed in a bight pink swimsuit – complete with a snakeskin print – and a delightful, sunrise yellow lace cardigan.
Posing in a pair of scrappy white heels and with a dazzling smile, the star shared her snap online along with the caption: “Birthday treat from my hubby @lincolntownley. Greece is the word.”
While it is not clear exactly where in Greece the star is sunning herself, fans were thrilled to see her looking bright and happy while abroad.
Fans and followers were quick to ‘like’ Denise’s photo and left an avalanche of positive comments in their response.
One fan commented: “You look fabulous. Love the costume.”
While another wrote: “Have a lovely time!” and many others were quick to brand Denise “fabulous”, “gorgeous” and “irresistible”.
This week, Denise has been forced to defend herself from some online critics after they targeted her over a jaunt to Los Angeles where she chatted to members of The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills – which she discussed on Loose Women.
But some viewers were upset that Denise was enjoying time in California while the cost of living crisis continues to pinch for millions.
One viewer bitterly asked via Twitter : “Can I ask who footed the bill to fly Denise to LA to walk round posh gaffs chatting tripe? What a waste of money and as for This is what they would do if they weren’t on LW, well correct me if I’m wrong but Ruth & Jane are journalists, Linda & Denise are actresses."
But Denise shot back at the comment – which came from an account suing the handle ‘sunshine’ – and she snapped: "Hi Jenny. Perhaps you’d like to change your Twitter handle."
While another viewer got stroppy over the fact Denise mentioned her husband Lincoln on the ITV lunchtime show.
Not taking the insult lying down, Denise replied on Twitter: "Because I’m married to him. How would you like me to refer to him???"
Elsewhere on social media, Denise has been trying to calm fears about the UK’s worrying outbreak of monkey pox – and also passing comment on the ‘Partygate’ scandal that has engulfed Prime Minister Boris Johnson ’s government.
In one tweet she wrote: “Partygate. Just get them all to admit that most of their restrictions were totally ridiculous. Scotch eggs, closing gyms, playgrounds, one way systems ruined businesses, livelihoods and caused mass fear and anxiety. Then we can move on to monkeypox.”
While in another, she questioned a headline that warned meat eaters to beware of monkey pox, tweeting: “Ah!! Ok!! Got it!! Who knew!!”
