Loose Women's Denise Welch, 64, celebrates 'lumps, bumps and saggy boobs' in swimsuit

Denise Welch celebrated her "lumps, bumps and saggy boobs" as she posed in a plunging black and white swimsuit after her two stone weight loss.

The 64-year-old Loose Women panellist said she is embracing her curves and cellulite as she showed off her figure in the cut-out swimwear in the snap from her Greece holiday.

Denise flaunted her bronzed tan and teamed her racy one-piece with white sandals and amped up the glamour with bright red nails and lipstick as she tilted her head back under the sunshine.

Captioning the photo, Denise told her followers: "Celebrating 9 yrs this week as ambassador for @lighterlife.

"I learnt the mental tools to address my emotional eating which was in danger of replacing my alcohol addiction."

Denise continued: "I use the flexifasting plan and eat normally the rest of the time. I enjoy all my favourite foods but I no longer let food and crooked thinking control me. I’m a healthy size 12/14 and that’s fine by me.

"I celebrate my curves, my lumps, bumps, saggy boobs and cellulite because my 64 yr old body has served me well despite the reverse not always being true.

"My swimwear is by @fandfclothing."

Denise has been a vocal advocate of mental health awareness and last month she celebrated a decade of sobriety.

She posted a couple of photos, side-by-side, showing her 10 years ago, when she was still drinking alcohol, and now after years of being tee-total.

Captioning the post in April, Denise wrote: "Got a few more lines and wrinkles but it’s in the eyes. They have it.

"10 yrs ago today I took my last alcoholic drink. Not a sherry trifle since and it’s been the best decision I ever made.

"It changed my life and the lives of everyone I love and who loves me."

Denise continued: "I self medicated for years and the memory of those times haunt me. Guilt and shame are very different. Guilt is something most of us have. Especially mothers.

"Shame is another animal. It took me years to overcome and I still have nightmares that take me days to recover from. The thought of going back there terrifies me."

Denise admitted that she is "proud" for how she has turned her situation around and the positive effect that has had on her family.

She continued: "The ripple effect of my sobriety on my family is the thing I’m most proud of. My children are free to live amazing lives because they don’t have to worry about mum.

"My husband and I have a wonderful marriage because we take time to nurture and care for it.

"My dad died knowing that I was in a good place with a good man. My sister looks at me with respect which vanished for a long time."

The former soap star concluded with a message for those who are experiencing similar to what she had been through.

Denise added: "If alcohol is making you miserable, sad, anxious, ashamed rather than a bit giddy on a Saturday night then you’re drinking too much.

"Stopping isn’t easy and staying sober is a lifestyle but it’s a much much better life.

"So today I’m happier and healthier in my 60’s than I was in my 40’s and 50’s.

"Today Im thinking of all those on the threshold of a major change and I can tell you it will be the best thing you’ll ever do.

"And to my friends who love a drink and don’t have a problem…..raise a glass to me today on my anniversary!!!"
