Coleen Nolan was quick to apologise to Loose Women guest Gail Porter after her 'awkward' introduction to the programme on Wednesday.
Gail, who shot to fame as a TV host and tabloid regular in the 1990s, was one of the stars to join Coleen and her ITV colleagues Jane Moore, Gloria Hunniford and Linda Robson on the latest edition of the lunchtime talk show. Gail's appearance was focused on her return to screens in Spooked Scotland, a new show to be shown on the Really channel.
The programme will see Gail visit a number of locations in her homeland after a paranormal expert declared Scotland one of the 'most haunted countries in the world.' Whether she was reading from an autocue or decided to do the play on words herself , Loose Women host Jane Moore took it upon herself to introduce Gail to the studio with a number of cringe-worthy quips.

Prior to Gail's arrival to join the panel, Jane said: "Now today's guest is used to hanging out with all sorts of scary creatures...so having a chat with this lot shouldn't be a problem," as she gestured over to her colleagues and cut to a clip of Gail in ghost hunting action in Spooky Scotland.
After the video finished and the camera went on Jane again, she added: "Well here to tell us more, it's Gail...or should that be Ghoul Porter." As Gail made her way on set from behind the scenes, Coleen swiftly cut in to apologise, telling the guest: "Sorry for all the really bad jokes from Jane," with co-star Linda then remarking: "It was them over there who wrote it honestly," as she pointed to the team across the studio.
During her Loose Women interview, Gail admitted that prior to signing up to do Spooky Scotland, she had been a 'cynic,' about all things paranormal, but having completely the series, she'd had complete change of opinion.
