Christine Lampard ignores elephant in the room on Loose Women return

Christine Lampard remained tight-lipped over her husband's sacking from Everton FC.

The 43-year-old anchor fronted today's edition of Loose Women alongside Denise Welch, Dame Kelly Holmes and Gloria Hunniford. It was Christine's first appearance on the show since Frank Lampard was dismissed as Everton FC boss on Monday.

Lampard was sacked from the Toffees after a catastrophic run of form left the team second from bottom of the Premier League. Fans following the show on Twitter spotted Christine failed to address the update during Wednesday's episode of the popular ITV programme.

The panel reacted to other major talking points such as whether the retirement age should be increased amid reports it will rise to 68 before the end of the 2030s.

Christine has been married to the former Chelsea midfielder since 2015 and they share two children named Patricia and Freddie. The broadcaster lifted the lid on their home life in today's show during a discussion on whether you should fight back against aging.

Christine said having two young children is the secret to feeling young. She said: "Have two small children like I do. Trust me, you can fake into a very young age because you have to be strong to be there for them."
