Loose Women's Charlene White concerned as she 'loses control' of show

Charlene White was left fearful of what might happen after announcing that she and her Loose Women colleagues had 'no control' over Monday's show.

The ITV newsreader was back at the helm of the lunchtime talk programme as a kicked off a new week of episodes, joined on the panel by co-stars Linda Robson, Nadia Sawalha and Katie Piper. Charlene confirmed the big change to proceedings when another Loose Women regular, Ruth Langsford, crossed to her live from the This Morning studio, where she is all week, alongside Rylan Clark.

The camera cut to Charlene in the closing moments of This Morning and, looking rather concerned, she said: "We've handed over control to you...the viewers and it's safe to say we're all a little bit nervous.

She added: "Absolutely nothing is off limits, so you can expect some emotional revelations, heartfelt chats and some very honest conversations as we share our life lessons with you. We'll be revealing some insider secrets."

As Charlene promised, Monday' s Loose Women was dictated by what viewers sent in, meaning all of the topics were chosen for the panel, rather than them having any say,. Fortunately for them, while no subject was 'off limits,' the ones selected weren't too contentious.

The ladies were asked what their favourite Loose Women moment had been to date, with Katie admitting that she 'lost her mind' when Tito Jackson was a guest on the show, while Charlene said she'd loved been given the opportunity to speak to Russell T.Davies, in the aftermath of his emotionally charged Channel 4 drama A Sin being an acclaimed success.

Charlene was thrown 'a curveball' midway through the show when colleague Frankie Bridge appeared via video to deliver a question on relationships, before, when asked who her 'dream' Loose Women would be, Katie voiced an ambition to have The Queen on the panel.
