Charlene White appeared to condemn the actions of her Loose Women co-star Denise Welch and others who played down the UK heatwave, after scorching temperatures caused fires in a number of area.
Towards the end of last week, weather presenters, including Good Morning Britain host Laura Tobin, warned of the dangerous consequences of the UK reaching record high temperatures, with Laura warning of hundreds 'if not thousands' of fatalities.
While Laura was quick to emphasise the severity of the much hotter tan usual conditions, critics, including Denise, mocked the various warnings that appeared online. Next to a picture of two contrasting weather forecasts over the years, with the one from last week seeing much of the map in red and it reading 'It's called summer," Denise wrote; "Old versus new," next to two tongue out emojis.
On Saturday, Steve Barclay, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care tweeted advise to Brits ahead of the spell of hot weather, writing; "We're urging the public to take three simple steps to protect themselves, and their family and friends, during the upcoming high temperatures: Drink plenty of water, Seek shade, Cover up," to which Denise mocked: "Thank you Steve. At 64, at last some top tips to help me survive!!!"

Denise then replied to a tweet from the Met Office asking if anyone was planning on doing anything or changed plans in response to the extreme weather predictions, with a simple "no," before reacting with laughing emojis to a tweet from Tuesday which read: "Never saw heatwaves like this before the vaccine. Makes you wonder."
The record UK temperatures of the 40 degree mark which were forecast turned out to be spot on and, while plenty of Brits took advance of the sun, it had devastating consequences with fires all over the country, including some in the North East and blazes in London which gave the Fire Service 'its busiest day since the Second World War.'
Picking up on the very serious consequences of the weather and condemning those who'd mocked the predictions, Loose Women anchor Charlene took to Twitter to fume: "As you watch the fires being fought across the UK, remember that *qualified* meteorologists have been warning for 2wks that this could happen - and giving advice. Yet we’ve had a bunch of unqualified ppl with zero knowledge of weather patterns telling ppl to carry on as normal."
The ITV news reader added: "Yes we’ve all been on holiday in hot places blah blah blah. But guess what, when you live in a country that’s used to hot temps - you know the rules (don’t light BBQ’s/don’t drop cigarette butts etc.) This hasn’t been our normal, *we* don’t know how to behave accordingly.."
She ended the post: "Encouraging people not to listen to advice about things you genuinely know nothing about may get you likes on the ol’ socials, but it could also cause unimaginable and irreparable damage to others."
Charlene's tweet didn't go un-noticed by Loose Women fans, and, while she didn't name her, many asked if she was referring to colleague Denise. One quipped: "You on the panel with Doctor @RealDeniseWelch this week?"
A second reacted: "Denise Welch told," with a third writing: "Cough cough Denise Welch cough."
