Carol McGiffin showed off a slightly different look on Loose Women today as she went make-up free after she woke up with her face "like a tomato". The panelist told her co-stars that she had no idea what had happened, denying that the redness on her face was due to cosmetic surgery.
The popular ITV Daytime show was also fronted by Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards and Nadia Sawalha today, and just moments after going to air they were quick to address Carol's bright red, swollen face.
Kaye said: "You've had a bit of a drama, haven't you?," to which Carol replied: "I have yeah, something has happened to my face. Don't say it. It actually looks like I've had some kind of cosmetic procedure . I haven't, I haven't."

She added: "Actually I just woke up and my face was like a tomato. A seriously red face, so I've got no make-up on, because I thought if I put make-up on it's going to it worse.
Before Kaye steams in and says: "It's got better from this morning though, because you did have an antihistamine." Producers then showed images of what Carol looked like when she first arrived to work.
And many fans flocked to Twitter to talk about Carol's red face. One wrote: "Poor carol looks like allergy. hope you feel better soon." While one added: "seriously whats happened to Carol?? Face peel gone wrong?"
And another said: "I can't take this seriously with Carol's red and dry face #LooseWomen." While one praised her: "Good on Carol for carrying on regardless of her skin issue. Many wouldn’t and would have gone into hiding if even a spot appeared #LooseWomen."
She recently showed off her incredible figure as she celebrates turning 63 while on holiday in Thailand with her husband Mark Cassidy. Carol posted a series of snaps to her 147,000 follower and fans on Instagram with many people saying she looks "amazing".
In one of the images, Carol can be seen donning crisp white denim shorts and a red and white cropped style top while standing with a topless Mark, 37, on a beach in Phuket. Another picture shows the couple both enjoying wine and pizza at a restaurant.
