Loose Women fans say panellists 'haven't aged' in epic throwback from very first episode

Loose Women celebrated its 23rd anniversary yesterday with a throwback photo from its very first episode.

The ITV show launched on September 6, 1999, and two decades later has become a staple of the daytime schedule.

Loose Women marked the anniversary with a post on Instagram yesterday by the show's account, which included a photo of the four panellists who appeared on the debut episode.

It included Kaye Adams, now 59, Nadia Sawalha, now 57, and Jane Moore, now 60 - who all still appear on the show - alongside their former co-star Philippa Kennedy.

The accompanying caption read: "23 years ago today was our first ever show on @itv." The post continued: "It's also the first time Kaye, Nadia and Jane took to the panel."

The three panellists have been on Loose Women on-and-off since their first appearances on the debut episode in 1999, with them currently amongst the line-up on the show.

Philippa - who is a former newspaper editor and columnist - had briefly appeared on the show from 1999 to 2000.

Fans took to the comments section to reminisce, with one writing: "I remember watching it and still do to this day. Love it". Another responded: "Still love it today."

"I'm been watching from the very beginning and I love it. Just wish they wouldn't talk over each other," wrote another viewer with some constructive advice for the panellists.

Another said: "Still going. Loved it from day one. A few [things] I would change but on the whole it's great". Whilst another viewer commented: "Keep at it ladies. Brilliant."

The ladies were congratulated by another fan, whilst one showed their support by saying that they "hardly ever miss a show". Another said: "Can't believe it's been 23 years".

Others said that the panellists don't look any older now, despite it being two decades later. One viewer wrote: "You look the same." Another commented: "Not changed a bit."

One viewer said in the comments section that they thought it was a recent photo and that the show had just got a new retro logo, adding: "You ladies haven't aged a bit".

Another viewer said that Kaye - who will be doing Strictly Come Dancing this year - appears to be "aging backwards". Another commented: "Nadia and Kaye look no different."

Frankie Bridge, 33 - who's been on the show since last year - was seemingly surprised by the throwback herself. She wrote "oh my god" alongside a laughing emoji.

Vicky Pattison, 34 - who had been a panellist on the show for a period in 2016 - took to the comments section to write: "Wow". She included a heart-eyed emoji.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV from 12.30pm.
