Loose Women's Denise Welch has called Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin Webster in Coronation Street, her "worst kiss ever". The actress chatted to Charlene White, Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards about the experience of kissing Michael on Tuesday's June 28 show.
Denise, who starred as Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street, said her experience of kissing Michael was tainted by the fact that he was "quite shy". She described how she "had to say to Michael that [they] can't do anything sexy because it's pre-watershed". In a harsh comment, the star compared the kiss to being like "kissing a cat's bum," before doing an impression of what the kiss was like.
As the audience erupted in laughter, Denise apologised to Michael for her comments and said that although she wasn't a fan of the "cat's bum" kiss, she "loves" him and thoroughly enjoyed her time on Coronation Street. Denise appeared on the ITV soap between 1997 and 2000.
