LAS VEGAS – It wasn’t perfect, but Loopy Godinez is happy with her win at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 224.
The Mexican UFC strawweight defeated Emily Ducote (12-7 MMA, 1-1 UFC) by unanimous decision on the main card of the event. It was a fight that Godinez (10-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) took on short notice.
Although she faced some small adversity with the nature of the fight, plus some flu-like symptoms, Godinez leaves Las Vegas satisfied with her work.
“Let’s go 8 out of 10,” Godinez told reporters when asked to rate her performance at the UFC Fight Night 224 post-fight press conference. “It was short notice, two weeks in advance, so it’s hard to say, and honestly I was getting a little bit sick when I took the flight to come to Vegas, but I just took care of myself – sauna and make sure I was good for today. No matter what, I was going to fight, so yeah. I’m here, I won, and I’m happy.”
