Former Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker and James Corden offered celebrity support when they went to see Sir Ian McKellen and John Bishop in panto.
The pair are starring in Mother Goose at Duke Of York’s Theatre — Sir Ian’s first panto since he played Widow Twankey in Aladdin at the Old Vic almost 20 years ago.
Ahead of its run, he told the Standard that the show was the “bit of fun everyone needs at this time”.
He said: “It’s a family entertainment and kids can laugh at the same things as their parents and their grandparents.”
