It was a hot day in Ashburn for the Day 3 of Washington Commanders training camp on Friday.
In what was another solid defensive performance from the Commanders, quarterback Sam Howell had his first interception of training camp. Safety Kamren Curl jumped the route and picked off the second-year quarterback.
How did Howell respond?
By finding his old college teammate Dyami Brown for a deep shot. One of the things coaches have praised Howell for is his ability to move on from negative plays. Friday’s performance was another example of Howell’s resilience.
After practice, head coach Ron Rivera, Curl, defensive tackle Daron Payne and running back Brian Robinson Jr. were among those who speak to the media.
