It doesn’t take a brainiac to watch Justin Fields play and realize he’s a cut above others when it comes to athletic gifts. There’s no doubt the former Ohio State and current Chicago Bears quarterback worked hard to hone his craft, but he was also born with genetic gifts most of us simply don’t have.
You may not know this, but Fields wasn’t just a football star in high school but was also a very productive baseball player in Georgia. He gave that up when he went to college, but based on some video shared by some around the Bears team, he can still mash baseballs into the stratosphere.
Watch as Fields launches a baseball out of Wrigley Field while he takes some batting practice during the team’s tour of the park. There are several views of this laser, but this is the one we like the best shared by Bears Clips.

Some guys are just good at whatever they pick up because of God-given abilities, and it appears as though Justin Fields sits squarely in that camp. Now, let’s hope we see a progression in his abilities on the field in year two of his NFL experience.
