Nepal has intensified efforts to trace more than 900 workers trapped inside various tunnels after no contact was established with those still missing following a cataclysmic deluge and mudslide that swept away entire communities last week.
An estimated 933 people are believed to be missing inside tunnels at five hydropower projects after a torrent of ice, rock and debris swept down a mountain valley on the China-Nepal border on Wednesday, according to the country's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
