A high school has asked its Year 9 students to work from home due to staff absences as Covid disruption continues.
Earlier this month, Year 8 and Year 9 pupils at Longbenton High School, in North Tyneside, had to go back to remote learning for a day on March 18. This was because of low staffing levels.
Now Year 9 children have been told to stay at home once again, with remote learning organised for them on Thursday. All other year groups were asked to attend school as normal, and Year 9 pupils were told to return on Friday.
