There have been long delays on the M62 this morning (May 3) after a crash. A broken down van has also added to the delays.
An accident on the M62 eastbound at junction 11 near Birchwood stopped traffic completely for around 10 minutes earlier this morning. Travel delays of more than 30 minutes have been reported due to this.
This was causing long delays towards junction 12 for the M60 at Eccles Interchange. Delays are stretching back to junction nine for Winwick.

The accident has been cleared and all lanes have been re-opened. However, with the subsequent broken down van delays remain in place.
Traffic website INRIX said: "Long delays due to earlier broken down Van on M62 Eastbound from J11 A574 Birchwood Way (Birchwood) to J12 M60 J12 (Eccles Interchange). Congestion to J9 (Winwick).
"Travel time is around 35 minutes. All lanes have been re-opened.
"Road has re-opened after traffic was stopped for around ten minutes. Traffic is also not being helped by the earlier accident."
Traffic cameras earlier showed heavy congestion which looks to be easing now, but is still heavy due to rush hour traffic.
