A new $51 million interchange and road-widening project in Pulaski County received a ceremonial kick-off Monday. The project has been in the works for years.
Between locals and tourists, Kentucky 80 and Kentucky 461 stay plenty busy. Monday, two new interchanges were officially unveiled there, along with the new four-lane, three-mile stretch of Kentucky 461. State Transportation Secretary Jim Gray said Kentucky roads aren’t red or blue – they’re for the people of the commonwealth and the millions who visit. Many of those visitors come to Lake Cumberland, and the new interchange and widening project are designed to ease that traffic load and benefit local businesses.
