Dogs love spending time with their owners - and can become sad when they're forced to spend time a part.
While most dogs pace around the house to relieve their boredom when home alone, others gaze out the window longing for their owner to return to them.
However, one dog has left people feeling "extremely unsettled" after its picture was shared on Reddit, making them wonder whether it's actually a dog or a man dressed up as one.
When sharing the picture, the user simply wrote: "Dog looks eerily human."
In the picture, the dog is seen standing on its back paws while resting its front paws on a chair to look out of a window - however, its tail is hard to make out due to the lighting.

Commenting on the image, one user said: "What makes it incredibly creepy is that it looks like a skinny person dressed up as a dog like some sort of weird Halloween dog costume."
Another user added: "I honestly can't believe this is a dog. That is clearly a person in a dog suit. Dogs ' bones aren't proportioned this way."
A third user said: "Oh god. That image is comically horrifying. Imagine climbing through a window and have it walking toward you on two legs, licking its chops and whimpering."
However, others have compared the dog to a "furry Slenderman", who is a fictional supernatural character that originated as an Internet meme, and a "werewolf who hasn't eaten in months".
But this is not the only dog who has been compared to a human in recent weeks, as another pooch has been dubbed Richard Branson's doubleganger due to its uncanny likeness to the entrepreneur and business magnate.
The canine has captured hearts on social media after his picture was shared on Reddit with the simple caption: "My friend's dog - he has a hairy wise old man's face".
In the picture, the dog appears to be scowling down the camera lens with a look of disgust on its face while being held up by one of its owners.
Users quickly jumped on the post to point out how the pooch has an incredible likeness to the founder of the Virgin Group, who now controls more than 400 companies across various fields.
One user said: "Who are we kidding? It looks like Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin."
Another user added: "That's Yoda's wife and judging by the other comments Yoda married Richard Branson."
A third user said: "It honestly looks exactly like Richard Branson - I see no difference between them, at all, whatsoever."
However, not everyone saw the funny side to the dog's human-like appearance, with one user saying: "Not going to lie - I would s*** myself if I woke up with that thing licking my face."
While one user added: "This is by far one of the ugliest dogs I have ever seen", and another said: "I don't know why I clicked on that, now I'm going to have nightmares when I go to sleep".
