Londoners will not have to foot the bill for the proposed pedestrianisation of Oxford Street, Sir Sadiq Khan has vowed.

The London mayor said he was “confident” of securing money from businesses to fund the proposal to remove vehicles from the western half of the UK’s most famous high street.
