London weather: Cold weather to return this week after warmest day of year

Colder weather is set to return to London after the capital basked in 19C temperatures on Sunday.

Sunday’s high of 19C made it the warmest day in the capital so far this year, and was only slightly less than the peak temperature in the country of 19.7C in Crosby, Merseyside - making it warmer than holiday hotspots such as the Costa del Sol.
