London travel news LIVE: Southeastern railway lines reopen after person hit by train amid Overground delays

A key commuter railway line in south-east London has reopened after a person was hit by a train.

The incident happened on Monday morning between Elmers End and Hayes, resulting in all lines being closed.

Trains were unable to run between Lewisham and Hayes and may be diverted to Orpington.National Rail said disruption to Southeastern services was expected to last at least until 1pm.

Meanwhile the London Overground was experiencing severe delays between Stratford and Richmond/Clapham Junction due to an earlier defective train at Canonbury.
