Traffic is slow in both directions on Putney Bridge, with southbound queues stretching back to Bishop's Park Road and northbound delays reaching Wildcroft Road.

There are also additional delays eastbound on Upper Richmond Road and westbound on Putney Bridge Road, with queues back to Brandlehow Road.

Drivers should expect delays in the area and allow extra time for their journeys.

Delays between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby expected until 9pm

A signalling fault between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby means trains are running at reduced speed towards Rugby. Services between the two stations may be delayed by up to 20 minutes or diverted via Northampton.

Disruption is expected to continue until 9pm.

Affected operators include Avanti West Coast services from London Euston to Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, Wrexham General, Crewe, Chester, Holyhead, Liverpool Lime Street, Stockport, Preston, Blackpool North, Lancaster, Glasgow Central and Edinburgh Waverley.

London Northwestern Railway services between Euston and Rugby, Birmingham New Street and Crewe, between Milton Keynes Central / Northampton and Birmingham New Street, and between Northampton and Crewe are also impacted. Passengers are advised to check before travelling and allow extra time.

Albert Bridge closed for borough works

CrossCountry disruption: replacement buses requested between Macclesfield and Stockport

Rail replacement transport has been requested to run between Macclesfield and Stockport, with further details to be confirmed.

Passengers can use their ticket at no extra cost on the two CrossCountry services operating before and after their cancelled train, on Avanti West Coast services between Stafford and Stockport, and on London Northwestern Railway services between Birmingham New Street and Stafford.

If you travel from a different station because of the disruption, you can return there later using your existing ticket at no extra cost. Seat reservations will not transfer to alternative services, but coaches B, H and L are unreserved on CrossCountry trains where available.
