The Central line has been hit with severe delays after a trespasser ran on to the tracks.
Transport for London earlier said that emergency services were dealing with a “casualty on the track”.
However, this has since been updated to a trespasser on the tracks near Leyton.
It is not yet clear how long the disruption will last.
It comes after a fire next to railway lines in south London also caused rail disruption.
The incident in East Croydon blocked lines, causing delays to Thameslink services. It is the second trackside fire in the area in as many days.
The Weaver Line is expected to be suspended between Hackney Downs and Chingford until Thursday as a result of the trackside blaze in Walthamstow, which damaged homes and gardens.

A trespass incident between between Rochester and Rainham means that the power has been turned off and trains are currently able to run in the Gillingham area.

Piccadilly line update

There are minor delays on the Piccadilly line between Acton Town and Uxbridge due to an earlier signal failure at Osterley.

Metropolitan line suspended

This is due to yet another trespasser on the tracks.
The incident occurred near Chesham station.

National Rail faces disruption amid hot weather

The National Rail network in London and the south east of England is set for further disruption this week as the hot weather continues.
Temperatures are forecast to hit highs of 30C today and as high as 29C and 28C from Wednesday to Friday.
Conditions are then set to cool slightly as this weekend sees highs of 25C.
Passengers are being advised to plan their journey ahead of travel due to expected disruption.
Heat damaging lines and cables and speed restrictions being put in place can add to travel delays as the heatwave continues.

As well as the ongoing delays on the Central line, there is disruption elsewhere on the TfL network.
There are minor delays on the Metropolitan line between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge and Watford.
The Weaver line remains part suspended between Chingford and Hackney Downs and there are severe delays on the rest of the line.
There is a good service on all other lines.

A trackside fire in East Croydon is disrupting Thameslink trains.
A National Rail spokesperson said: “Local staff and Network Rail are dealing with a fire next to the track in the East Croydon area.
“As a result, fewer lines than normal are available for train running.
“This is to allow trains to run safely through the area, and to allow responders to combat the fire safely.”
It is the second fire to impact train services in the area in as many days.

Bus routes under diversion due to a gas leak in Greenwich

Creek Road in Greenwich is currently blocked eastbound following a gas leak which occurred in the early hours of the morning.
The road is shut between Norway Street and Greenwich Market, with bus routes 188 and 199 under diversion.

Reduced Elizabeth line service between Stratford and Shenfield

The Overground service was suspended between Hackney Downs and Chingford due to damage caused to the line by a fire in Walthamstow.

The Gatwick Express, Southern and Thameslink networks have been hit by a number of incidents today, resulted in cancellations and delays.
There has been three points failures - between Gatwick Airport and Haywards Heath, between Uckfield and Oxted and between Shepherds Bush and Watford Junction.
There has also been a fire next to the track at East Croydon and a tree blocking the railway earlier today between Lewes and Brighton.
As a result, disruption across the network is expected until around 6pm.
No trains will call at Balcombe in the London-bound direction, and Gatwick Express services are running between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport only.
There is a reduced service between Three Bridges and Bedford, and fewer Thameslink trains than normal are running between Three Bridges and London via Redhill, and between London and Bedford.

Points failure between Uckfield and Oxted

Hot weather still causing travel issues

The heatwave may have abated in London, but hot weather is still impacting a number of rail services in and out of the capital.
South Western Railway plan to run a normal service across most of their network, but a small number of services will be amended during the afternoon when temperatures are forecast to be at their highest.
Between 12pm and 8pm, customers travelling between London Waterloo and Exeter St Davids will need to change trains at Basingstoke.
Services between London Waterloo and Weymouth will call additionally at Basingstoke to provide additional connectivity.
East Midlands Railway’s Intercity route to and from London St Pancras International will operate a reduced service, with some services cancelled.
Disruption between Watford Junction and St Albans Abbey

East London fire closes train lines and sparks evacuations

The disruption at Stratford today is being caused by a huge fire which ripped through properties in east London on Sunday evening.
Around 125 firefighters battled the major blaze in Walthamstow after a railway embankment caught fire.
At its height, the fire could be seen raging metres from railway lines as it spread to homes and around 30 gardens.
Residents were advised to avoid the area around Vallentin Road entirely and keep their windows and doors closed, as crews from London Fire Brigade worked to tackle the blaze.

Two major London stations are set to shut for three weeks this summer as part of a £20million upgrade, with commuters warned to expect disruption.
London Charing Cross and Waterloo East will close from Sunday, July 26 until Sunday, August 16, while engineers carry out major improvement works.
The closures will affect Southeastern services, with trains that normally run into Charing Cross being diverted to London Victoria, London Cannon Street and London Blackfriars instead.

Two major London train stations to close within weeks for £20 million upgrade
Gatwick delays

A points failure between Haywards Heath and Gatwick Airport means that some lines are blocked.
Some trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed, with disruption expected until around 9am.
Thameslink services that normally run between Bedford and Three Bridges are cancelled. National Rail has advised that there will still be services that run from Bedford to Brighton which stop at Three Bridges that passengers can use to reach their destinations.
Southern services that normally run between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport will have a reduced service, as will those between London Bridge and Bognor Regis / Eastbourne.
Passengers travelling to Gatwick Airport or Luton Airport Parkway are advised to allow at least an extra 45 minutes for their journeys to ensure they make their flight connections.
DLR update

Disruption at Stratford after weekend fire

A fire next to the track in the Stratford area on Friday evening is still causing travel disruption today.
The fire caused extensive damage to some railway signalling equipment, which Network Rail engineers are working to repair.
Cancellations and alterations are expected to Greater Anglia services moving through Stratford today until the repairs are complete.
Greater Anglia trains between Tottenham Hale and Stratford will terminate and start from Lea Bridge. Passengers will not be able to travel between Lea Bridge and Stratford by train.
There will also be a reduced service on routes to and from Ipswich, Clacton-on-Sea, Colchester Town, Braintree and Southend Victoria.
Weaver line part suspended
