London travel news LIVE: Gatwick Express, Southern and Thameslink trains cancelled amid signal fault chaos

Passengers travelling on the Elizabeth line to and from London Heathrow Airport are facing major disruption this morning due to a speed restriction over defective track near Hayes & Harlington.

Transport for London (TfL) says fewer trains are able to run through the affected area, leading to delays, cancellations and short-notice alterations on services between Reading, Heathrow Terminal 5 and London Paddington.

Trains may be revised or diverted, with some services starting or terminating at intermediate stations.

Commuters are being advised to check their journeys before travelling and allow extra time, as disruption is expected to continue while engineers assess and repair the track.
