London travel news LIVE: Late completion of engineering work disrupts Northern line

Severe delays are impacting the Northern line following a late finish to planned engineering work.

To help ease travel difficulties, London Buses, London Trams, Thameslink and South Western Railway are accepting tickets via any reasonable route.

Most of the delays have now eased on the underground network - there are now just minor delays on the Bakerloo line, and between Baker Street and Aldgate on the Metropolitan line.

Tube update

That faulty train at Farringdon has had knock-on effects - there are now also minor delays on the Hammersmith & City line, and on the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate.

Circle line update

There are minor delays clockwise only on the Circle line due to an earlier faulty train at Farringdon.

District line update

The severe delays on the District line have now eased - there are now only minor delays on the whole of the line.

There is a good service on the rest of the network, aside from minor delays on the Bakerloo line.

Tube update

The suspension between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway has been lifted, with that part of the line now running with severe delays.

There are minor delays on the rest of the District line, as well as the Bakerloo line, and a good service on the rest of the network.

Heavy rain expected to affect travel

The Met Office have issued yellow weather warnings for heavy rainfall covering parts of southern England today.

Speed restrictions may be implemented to ensure trains are able to run safely.

District line update

There is currently no service between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway on the District line while TfL fix a signal failure at Turnham Green.

There are minor delays on the rest of the line.

Bakerloo line

TfL are advising passengers affected by the part closure on the Bakerloo line to use the Lioness line to complete their journey.
