Damage to overhead electric wires is causing major disruption to Thameslink and East Midlands trains between London St Pancras and Luton.
Electric wires between Radlett and Kentish Town means trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised, says National Rail.
In an update on Thursday afternoon, National Rail described the disruption as “major” as number of lines are blocked while repairs are carried out.
It said the disruption is expected to last “until the end of the day”.

Broken escalators leave passengers forced to climb 121 stairs
17:19 , Jacob PhillipsA south-east London DLR station where broken escalators have left passengers forced to climb 121 stairs has been branded a “national disgrace” and “not fit for purpose”.
All four escalators at Cutty Sark DLR station in Greenwich have been out of use for the last two months.
Passengers using the station are currently forced to walk up and down 121 steps to get between the street level and platforms, or alternatively wait for the station’s sole, small lift.

Ilford station staff member fighting for his life after 'unprovoked' attack
16:12 , Jacob PhillipsA man has been arrested after a staff member was left fighting for his life during an “unprovoked” attack at Ilford station.
Officers were called to the Elizabeth line station at around 8.49pm on Wednesday following reports of a serious assault.
Paramedics and London's Air Ambulance also attended, and a man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.

Severe delays on the Elizabeth line
08:35 , Matt WattsTransport for London are warning of severe delays on the Elizabeth line between Paddington and Heathrow and Reading.
The problems are due to a faulty track in the Acton Main Line area, that TfL said is being fixed.
Thameslink services disrupted
08:30The damage to the electric wires affecting trains into St Pancras is also affecting Thameslink services in London.
Services will be disrupted between Radlett and Kentish Town, with journeys extended by up to 60 minutes, National Rail has warned.
Trains between Sutton and St Albans City will be amended and will run non-stop between St Albans and London St Pancras International on an ad-hoc basis, so passengers are being told to check carefully before travelling to ensure they board the correct service.
