Two people have been killed in horror accidents outside Victoria station and on a busy west London commuter road.
A person died after a bus appeared to hit a bus stop outside the station on Monday morning. It came hours after an accident during a police pursuit on the A3 in Roehampton left a motorcyclist dead.
Meanwhile, rail passengers are facing disruption to services as the Aslef union begin a nine-day overtime ban today before launching a rolling programme of walkouts from Tuesday.
There will be one-day strikes across 17 different train operating companies between Tuesday and Monday, February 5, as well as an overtime ban across all train companies from today to Tuesday, February 6, which may lead to short-notice cancellations.
Tuesday's disruption will hit key London train services including South Western Railway, Southeastern and Govia Thameslink Railway - encompassing Southern, Gatwick Express and Thameslink.
Passengers have been urged to check before they travel as there will be changes to services across large parts of the network, with some train operators not running any services on strike days.
Services that are running could start later and finish much earlier than usual - typically running between 7.30am and 6.30pm.
