Pubs in London are set to be serving football fans until 1am if England reach the World Cup quarter-final next year.

With games likely to start later in the evening in the US, Canada and Mexico, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has proposed to extend opening hours in the UK for those looking to watch some of the tournament's biggest matches from the pub.
