This Christmas, Jessica Charlton is very much hoping she will have a major life milestone to celebrate. At the age of 34, Charlton is poised to take her first step onto the property ladder.
Her offer to buy a one-bedroom flat in north London has been accepted, surveys have been done, and while exact timeframes are proving hard to pin down, Charlton is optimistic that 2023 is the year she will finally become a homeowner, bringing to an end more than a decade of renting.
