London Embassy credits imminent Celtic transfer for 'strengthening connections'

The London Embassy of Azerbaijan has congratulated Camilo Duran, ahead of his imminent "record transfer" from Qarabag to Celtic

The 24-year-old Colombian is closing in on a £5.5million move to the Scottish champions, following an impressive season at the Azerbaijan Premier League runners-up.

While not yet confirmed, the Azerbaijani Embassy has taken to social media to signal their support of Duran's impending move. In full on X, they posted, "Strengthening the sporting connection between Azerbaijan and Scotland.

"Congratulations to @FKQarabagh on the record transfer of Camilo Duran to @CelticFC."

.Last season, Duran contributed 25 goal contributions (15 goals, 10 assists) in all competitions, including five goals in the Champions League.

Scoring against the likes of Newcastle United, Eintracht Frankfurt, Benfica, Red Bull Salzburg, and Ajax, the versatile forward has caught the eye of Martin O'Neill's side, who look set to announce the player imminently.
